Linda was born March 19, 1951, in Pontiac, IL, the daughter of Marion and Eudora "Dorie" Santacroce Diemer. She married Thomas A. Gleason on September 12, 2015, in Bloomington, IL. He survives.
Also surviving is her daughter, Heather (Maurice) Betts, Bloomington, IL; two stepchildren: Cory and Brad Legner; two brothers: Richard Diemer, Pontiac, IL, Bill (Kelli) Diemer, West Des Moines, IA; and her sister, Mary (Stephen) Bartley, Mesa, AZ. Linda is preceded in death by her parents.
Linda's upbringing was with grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, and neighbor kids on the family farm where exploring was a daily activity. She was proud to be a country kid, enjoyed reading cookbooks and was a specialist in recipe "hunting," especially making pies at an early age. She was an avid physical fitness enthusiast and even enjoyed boating with friends, running for miles, traveling abroad, cruising with Tom, family, and friends whenever possible. She and Tom have been active in their church and love the Lord. She was a member of the McDowell sunshine club, and was always proud of her family farm heritage, as well as Danish and Italian "roots." Later she enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and sports, especially football. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

I´m saddened to hear of Linda´s passing. My thoughts are with Heather, Cory and Brad during this time of loss. I worked with Linda in the accounting department at BroMenn for many years. She was always happy and smiling. I remember her telling me how she could sneak chocolates out of a box with no signs of having been opened, very funny. Also she enjoyed her rice cakes every day. We didn´t stay in contact after I moved to MN and for that I´m sorry. I´ll miss her.
Sincerely Elaine Vincent
