David Miller

April 20, 1940 - May 24, 2021 David L. Miller, 81, of West Covina, passed away on May 24, 2021. David was born on April 20, 1940, to Lewis and Gayle Miller in Sikeston, MO. His family would later move to Poplar Bluff, MO. In 1961 he moved to Southern California to work for Security Pacific National Bank. He then got a job with Unocal where he would work for the next 30 years. In 1963 he married Sue Sams. They would go on to have two children, Michelle and David Scott. Upon retiring, he volunteered as the treasurer with the Auxiliary of Foothill Presbyterian Hospital, Glendora. He would give his time to his church where he learned and performed with their handbell choir, served as treasurer and as an elder. After the passing of Sue, his wife of 40 years, he would marry Carol Volpe. David was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Gayle, and his wife Sue. He is survived by his sister Carol Summers, his son David Scott Miller, his daughter Michelle Cordich, her husband Michael and their two children Cameron and Rachel, and Carol Volpe and her family. Funeral services will be held at the Heritage Church at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills on June 8, 2021 at 9:30 am. Forest Lawn Memorial Park Covina Hills
