Heinz Lapper

1948 - 2016

HEINZ LAPPER passed away on 1/7/2016. He was born on 1/3/1948 in Bavaria to parents Charlotte Vogt & Franz Lapper. After moving to the U.S. in 1965, Heinz diligently worked to become a U.S. Citizen. Upon entering the country he did not even speak a word of English. He attended Berkeley and enjoyed the many opportunities his beloved country offered. Heinz is survived by Helena, his wife of 31 years; his children Allen Werner, Darryl Werner, David (Vicky) Gadd, Patricia Ann Lapper and Michael Lapper; grandchildren Justin Gadd, Jordan Gadd, Heather Gadd, Ryan Gadd; great grandchildren Shane Warner and Austin Serratelli; sister Ingrid Almer (Manfred); niece Carolin and nephews Robert Lapper & Manfred Lapper. Heinz was predeceased by his brother Gerhard Lapper, sister-in-law Claudia Lapper and his grandchild Brian Werner. Heinz was a successful contractor with 3 roofing licenses prior to his retirement in 2010 from a successful family business. For business he was able to receive high level security clearance. He was an avid lover of animals. All animals, especially the feral cats that he gently loved into domestication. Heinz appreciated his numerous friendships that were made within organizations and associations both personally and professionally. Family and friends are invited to a memorial celebration of Heinz' life on Friday, February 5 at 2pm at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn located at 11500 Arlington Ave in Riverside.
