Brian,
I know for a fact your father was proud of you. I was there when you were so little he could hold you with one hand. I was there camping with you and your family. I was there when your dad told me how proud he was of you. I saw you jump into his arms when he would come home from hunting with me.
Sure there were disappointments along the way. We all have disappointments, things we wish we had done differently. The difference from one to the next is how we live....Live Brian.. and make yourself as proud of yourself as your father was of you.

Jim was the one who always knew how to enjoy life, especially after he was grown. No matter what he did he gave it all he had, I always admired that about him.
Some would say he was tough on his boys, but I never saw it that way. Jim loved his sons and knew what they were capable of and he expected them to meet their full potential. He would talk about how intelligent both Erik and Bryan are and how much he wanted them to succeed. He was proud of his boys. Jim loved his family, and had a deep respect for his mom and dad.
I'm going to miss you. You were like another brother to me. People would give me the strangest looks when I would say I had a nephew older than me, especially when they saw you. I always had fun with that one.
I love you Jim...thanks for the memories.

Today we lay my brother to rest. It is very apparent that he was loved by so many friends and family. Our family has received many calls, visitors and messages from all across this great country.
Growing up as Jimmy's little brother, I too have great memories our life together. Too many to list. Jim was a good man, always willing to help others.
His passing was sudden and unexpected. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched. Words alone can not describe how much I will miss my brother.
I love you Jim! May you rest in peace.

Jimmy Don was always more of a brother to me than a nephew. I can remember him, Wayne and I playing, back in the 1950s, while he was still living in Lubbock before the move to California. I remember our Christmas visits to California each year and their summer visits to Texas each year. There is so many memories that I can't list them all. I love you and RIP until we meet again.
