JoAnne West Obituary
Joanne Hazel West was born August 23 1935 in Kingman, Arizona to the late Angus and Deloris McVicar. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. For over 23 years Joanne was employed by Union Oil Co. as a Dispatcher. She resided in Panorama Village, Hemet, California for 35 years. Joanne was a faithful member of the Hemet Church of the Nazarene for many years. Joanne had a heart of gold. She enjoyed spending time with her family, helping others and taking an occasional trip to the casino. On March 29, 2018 in Hemet, California Joanne passed away. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years William "Bill" West; son, Dennis Swartz; sister, Patsy Connor and step-son, John West. To forever cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Swartz and Nancy Swartz; brother, Earl McVicar; sister, Helen Blakeley; step-son, James West; step-daughters, Cara Torres and Lorraine West; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and beloved pets, Emma and Timmy as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A Celebration of life will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 1pm at Hemet Valley Mortuary. Inurnment will be privately held at Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach, California.
