Jack O'Brien Obituary

Jack E. O'Brien, age 90 of Conroe, Texas died on February 11, 2021 in Goodrich, Texas. He was born in Rucker, Tennessee, near Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Hugh Frank and Mamie (Rowland) O'Brien. Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank O'Brien and William (Billy) O'Brien. He is survived by his son, Russell D. and wife, Amber O'Brien of Willis, Texas and his daughter, Felita L. and husband, Wayne Schramme of Richmond, Texas; his grandson, Colton M. O'Brien and great grandson, Braylon Sage O'Brien of Aiken, South Carolina.

Jack graduated from Christiana High School in Christiana, Tennessee. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN and a Master of Arts degree from Golden State University in Los Angeles, California.

He was a veteran of the United State Army earning the rank of Captain at the time of his resignation having served at 4 different military posts in the United States, plus serving in Germany and Lebanon.

Jack spent several years of his life in Sales and Marketing in this country. He also assisted other companies in nine (9) different foreign countries including Central and South America, Australia, and Europe.

Jack was an active member of West Conroe Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas where a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jay Gross officiating. Interment will follow in the columbarium wall at Houston National cemetery in Houston, Texas with honors.
