Charles LeRoy Erskine

1942 - 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charles Erskine. Charles was born January 5th, 1942 in St. Louis, Michigan. He worked jobs in Michigan such as grocery clerk, lawn care and shoes salesman. He was a Free Methodist Church Minister in California, Oregon and Washington for 45 years. While a minister in Port Angeles, he also worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for North Olympic Drug and Alcohol center and also Healthy Families.

Charles married Darlene in Redwood City, CA in 1971. He soon after spent 6 weeks of study in Israel at the Institute of Holy Land Studies and spent a two week mission trip with the Haiti Medical Teams.

People were very important in Charles' life. He loved his family and playing with his four grandchildren. He also loved to hunt, fish, garden and raise dahlias.

He will be missed by his Spouse, Darlene; his son Jeffery Erskine (Cherise); daughters, Michelle Eaton (Timothy), and Julie Hickerson (Derik); sister, Janice Witting (Dick); grandchildren, Isaac, Ruth, Zachary and Kai.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Shirley Erskine; Brothers, Gerald Erskine, and Jerry Erskine; and sister, Delores Massar.

A celebration of life will be held March 19, 2022 at 1pm at the Bethany Pentecostal Church, 508 S Francis St in Port Angeles.
