Charles A. Donnell
Charles A. "Jett" Donnell, 69, of Main Street, Bressler, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at home.
He was born in Greens-boro, NC, son of the late Bernard and Katherine Lyles Donnell, was reared by the late Rev. and Mrs. Charles Donahue from the age of one year, a graduate of the old Steelton High School, retired from Quaker Oats, was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Steelton, where he served on the Choir and with the Layman's and Kitchen Ministries. He was also a member of the United Way for 21 years and in his leisure, enjoyed bowling, baseball and basketball.
Jett leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Barbara A. "Bo" Donnell; his sons, Derrick Donnell of Bressler, Juan Donnell of Harrisburg and Brian Donnell of Silver Spring, MD; his foster daughter, Debbie Flores of Pensauken, NJ; his sisters, Phyllis Johnson of Mt. Vernon, NY, Barbara Harris of Harrisburg and Pat Beckett of Bensalem, PA; his 5 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated Tuesday, October 17 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with visitation 5:30 until 6 p.m. www.pennlive.com/obits

Our deepest sympathy to the Donnell family. My memory of Charles date back to the Sunday School and BYPU activities at church. Also I remember the days of the "Tom Thumb" weddings they used to stage at the old First Baptist Church in Steelton. Your family is in our prayers.
