E. Strange Obituary

E. Gladys Strange
E. Gladys Strange, 85, of Newberry Twp. and formerly of Camp Hill, passed Monday, November 16, 2009, in Golden Living Center, West Shore.
She was a former employee in the Susquehanna School District. Gladys enjoyed playing the piano, music and cooking. She was the former owner of Gladys's Deli in Strawberry Square.
Born on March 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel M. (Anderson) Sherwin. Mrs. Strange was the widow of Robert W. Strange and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristen Marie Strange.
Surviving are five sons, Eric S. of Harrisburg and his wife, Anne, Douglas J. of Kutztown, Russell J. of Etters, Thomas B. of Camp Hill and wife, Doris, and David C. of Kutztown; two brothers, Harry and Robert Sherwin, both of Michigan; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be held 6 – 8 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 75 S. Houcks Road, Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17109.

Thank you for calling. My mother, Dolores Geddis was saddened to hear of Gladys' passing. My goodness, they were such good friends for so many years. I think my mother saved every card and letter Gladys sent her. Great memories they shared. I'm glad they were able to stay in touch. Gladys will be in our prayers.
