James Jernigan Obituary
1934-2012
James Alvin "Bo" Jernigan, age 78, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully with his loving family surrounding him on December 13, 2012 at West Florida Hospital In Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Jernigan was born in Conecuh County, Alabama on December 11, 1934 to John and Ethel Jernigan.
He was an avid gardener, wood worker and jack of all trades.
Mr. Jernigan is retired from the US Army with 20 years of service. He also worked in Civil Service for 20 years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Johannah A. Jernigan of Pensacola; daughter, Evelyn Jernigan of Pensacola; sisters, Margaret Kirkland of Mobile, Louise Findley of Evergreen, Polly Findley of Fort Walton Beach, Betty Wilson of Pensacola; brothers, Nova Leigh Jernigan of Pensacola and Johnny Jernigan of Pensacola.
The funeral service will be at Faith Chapel South at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 with the visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Ron Lentine will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Covenant Hospice, 8383 N. Davis Hwy, 3 North, Pensacola, FL 32514 or the American Cancer Society.

We always knew him as Mr. Jernigan. We lived next to him for many years and were amazed at the beauty of the St. Augustine grass in his lawn.
