I just read the obituary as the funeral is being conducted; otherwise I would have been there. We grew up together at Harold School where he used to walk to school early in the winter to start the fires in the the wood-burning heaters in the classrooms.
We went on to high school, continued our friendship in his business, and in school reunions. My prayers are with his family.

My deepest condolences to the family of a dear, lifelong friend. I just saw the notice in the newspaper this morning there were any way that I could get to Pensacola in time for the funeral, I would be there.

Pop we are going to miss you so much. Thanks for being a great dad and father in law. I am glad that we were with you when you took your journey to heaven. I know you missed Betty an awful lot and know you are together again. We will keep your memory alive !!!

First of all I would like to offer my condolences and sympathy to Richard, Maria ( my best friend) their children and every life you touched ( something tells me that is an enormous amount of people). Secondly, I would love to take the time out to thank Mrs Betty for the amazing message she sent me 17 minutes before you gained your wings. That message was so beautiful and powerful it gave your son Richard and his wife time to hold your hands and witness the most beautiful goodbye, which was something they both truly needed. I didn't get the pleasure of knowing you personally but something tells me once you get settled you will let me get to know you. My prayers go out to everyone, but know he is no longer suffering and sometimes that is painful but a blessing. Rest peacefully, this is never goodbye, it's until we meet again. Fly high and watch over us in this crazy world, I love you Pops
