Von was a great friend of mine at work and at play. We had some good times together with Beth's kids and just doing nothing. She was so thoughtful of others! My sincere condolences to the family. Von was such a sweet and caring person. I work at Catawba Nuclear and she was my counterpart at Oconee. She was always so willing to help in any situation. I remember going on a trip with Von to South Texas and she was so much fun and full of energy. May God bless you all and keep her spirit alive in her children and family.

I am so sorry we never got together for lunch, I hate receiving this news but know you are in heaven free from pain. Von you were a wonderful loving kind person and will never forget how much you helped me at work and teasing me about staying over and rubbing off my eyebrows and hair standing on end saying guess you are trying to learn id/sequence numbers to write out material sheets - rest in peace Von - it was a blessing knowing you xx0

How sad it made me to hear about Von's passing. I always called her my Von at work. She was great at her job, and everyone at Oconee knew it. I pray that she is in God's sweet heaven with no pain or worry and I pray that God gives strength to her family and all of the people who knew her. You all take care.

Anyone that ever met Von, even for just a minute, could never forget her. Without a word, those piercing blue eyes made a lasting impression. Behind those eyes was a woman of boundless energy with a heart as large as the state where she was born. I did not have the pleasure to personally know her for as long as most of the multitude of friends she welcomed into her life, but those few years I did have will make a lasting impression on my life for my remaining days. Until we meet again, Von, enjoy the loving care of our all-knowing Heavenly Father.
