David Swindell Obituary
Chesapeake - David Samuel Swindell, 78, of the 400 block of Plainfield Ave. passed away on July 28, 2013. He was born in North Carolina to the late Inez W. Swindell and Augusta S. Clarke. He was also predeceased by his sister, Joyce P. Swindell. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Crane Operator.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 50 years, Doris F. Swindell; daughters, Katherine L. Mullins and husband Lee, Donna F. McCurdy and husband Michael, Joyce R. Swindell; sons, David S. Swindell II, Todd A. Swindell and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Chris, Barry, Aaron, Garrett, Jenelle, James, Rebekah, Caitlin, Samantha; great grandchildren, Jake, Sebastian, Kyleigh, and Jayla.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:30 am at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with burial to follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Rev. Heath Burris officiating. . The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 6 pm till 8 pm. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
