Edith M. Arnold SUFFOLK - Edith Melvina Arnold, 59, passed away Aug. 1, 2010. Raised in Chesapeake, Edith was the daughter of the late Archie and Lillian Pritchard. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary "Steve" Stephen Arnold. She was a writer and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Serena Arnold of Virginia Beach; sons, Gary S. Arnold Jr. of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Joel "Boots" Arnold and wife Diana of Corapeake, N.C.; sister, Shirley McGrath of Tampa Bay, Fla.; and grandchildren, Christopher, Judd, Payton, Aidan, Hannah, and Stephen. A funeral will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434 by the Rev. Kenneth Bunch with burial at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
