John George Fleck, Jr.

Virginia Beach - John George Fleck, Jr., 87, passed away on October 23, 2016, comforted and surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John G. Fleck, Sr., and Wilhelmina Fleck. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He retired as Sales Director at Dow Chemical. His memberships included Virginia Beach United Methodist Church and VFW Palm Desert Branch.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Elizabeth L. Fleck. Left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Robert C. Fleck and his wife, Elaine, of Scottsdale, AZ, William C. Fleck and his wife, Tina, of Encinitas, CA, and Richard M. Fleck and his wife, Paula, of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters, Karen L. Mitchell and her husband, Rod, of Palos Verdes, CA, Sandra E. Riehman and her husband, Robert, of Fallbrook, CA, and Linda L. Fleck and her husband, Edward Arentz, of New Hope, PA; fifteen grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and two brothers, his twin brother George Fleck of King of Prussia, PA and Paul Fleck of Quakertown, PA. His sister, Wilma Brey Gilfillan, preceded him in death earlier this year.

The memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday November 18th, 2016, at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church by Rev. Ralph Rowley. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in loving memory of Elizabeth L. Fleck. Condolences may be offered to the family at:
