My husband and I came to Norfolk in 1952 as teenage newlyweds in the Navy. The Lord led me to Tabernacle Church while Bill was on sea duty and I was warmly welcomed by everyone, but especially John & Lolly. Over the years of participating in the radio ministry, Lolly became like a sister to me. She not only became my personal confidant, but also taught me to love beautiful poetry and combine it with music to convey and enhance the message of God's love to our listeners. I will always remember her consistent walk with the Lord and the influence that had on my life. I will treasure her friendship forever.

I remember Mrs. Dunlap well from my early years as a teenager at the Tab. She was a remarkable woman....such a gracious lady and loved the Lord with her whole being.
