Richard Bramble Obituary

Richard J. Bramble VIRGINIA BEACH - Capt. Richard Jack Bramble, 84, of the 2200 block of Leeward Shore Drive, passed away Oct. 15, 2011 in Virginia Beach. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late Richard and Margaret Bramble. He retired from the U.S. Army Transport Service as Harbor Master at Naha, Okinawa, Japan. He was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Captain Jack is survived by his wife, Anna Louise Bramble; two daughters, Anna Margaret Johnson and husband Robert of Dry Prong, La., and Emi Marie Ostrander and husband Gregory of Virginia Beach; a brother, Robert Bramble of Norfolk, stepbrother, Earl C. Richardson Jr. and wife Betty of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Bobbi Anna Stewart and husband Kevin and two great-grandchildren, Baylee Anna and Trevor Todd Stewart. A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Great Neck Chapel with the Rev. Edward S. Martin Jr. officiating. The burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
