Sandy McKeithan Jr. PORTSMOUTH - Sandy McKeithan Jr., 57, of the 1900 block of Prentis Ave., passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. Sandy was a Merchant Marine, and later was a roofer and painter by trade. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Brenda L. McKeithan; three daughters, Tracy McKeithan, Angela McKeithan and Tina Lee; five sons, Sandy McKeithan III, Chris McKeithan, Calvin McKeithan, Darrell McKeithan and Corey McKeithan; two sisters, Shirley Rogers and Brenda McKeithan; two brothers, Herbert Rogers and Tony McKeithan; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased in death by his mother, Margaret Rogers; father, Sandy McKeithan Sr.; and sister, Margorie Rogers. A funeral will be held today, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. in Corprew Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Clarence Harrison presiding. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing was held Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The family would like to thank everyone for all acts of kindness, prayers and words of encouragement.
