PEKIN - Jeanine L. McMichael, 55, of 225 Hillside Court passed away at 5:40 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Oct. 1, 1955, in Peoria to Melvin and Gail (Sharp) Morger, she married Dennis McMichael on April 5, 1974, in East Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are her parents of East Peoria; one son, Jason (Summer) McMichael of Bartonville; three daughters, Jennifer Otey of Pekin, and Sarah (David) Bohm and Jessica Newell, both of Peoria; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Michael Morger of Washburn, Mark (Donna) Morger of South Pekin and Matt Ross of Washington; and three sisters, Jan (Steve) Miller of Hanna City, Judy (Bob) Blackwell of East Peoria and Julie Zehr of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Abigail.
She was a homemaker.
Jeanine loved to shop and spend time with her children and being "Nanna" to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and was fond of her four dogs. She was a collector of porcelain dolls.
She attended First United Methodist Church in East Peoria.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeanine McMichael Memorial Fund established at CEFCU for her daughter Jessica's care.
