CHILLICOTHE - Joseph H. Alden, 54, of Chillicothe died Friday evening, Feb. 6, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Joe was born in Oregon, the son of Joseph C. and Helen L. Kennison.
Surviving are his mother, Helen L. Alden of Chillicothe; three brothers, Michael (Pat) Alden of Rome, John (Tracy) Alden of Belle Plains, Iowa, and Richard Alden of Peoria; his longtime girlfriend, whom he lived with, Ann M. Franson; and numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Joe worked at JT Fennell Company and then for Allied Welding as a machinist. He also did handyman services and some carpentry work around Chillicothe.
Joe was a Mason of George Washington Lodge 222 A.F.&A.M. of Chillicothe, where he was very active and enjoyed being a part of.
Joe also was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved motorcycles.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 10, 2015, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at the funeral home, with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. Burial will be held in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
