TOULON - Kevin W. Chamberlain, 55, of East Peoria, formerly of Toulon, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at his residence, after an 11-year battle with cancer.
Kevin was born Oct. 1, 1956, in Galesburg, the son of Harold and Janice Wigant Chamberlain.
Surviving are his parents, Harold and Janice Chamberlain of Toulon; one brother, Randy (Diana) Chamberlain of Galva; two sisters, Christine (David) Mohler of Zumbro Falls, Minn., and Beth (Jim) Breezley of Farmington, Minn.; and two special friends, Scott Mason of Peoria and Randall McClallen of East Peoria. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Kevin graduated from Toulon High School in 1974.
He was a computer operator for Caterpillar.
Kevin enjoyed traveling, refinishing and fixing many items around his home.
His family and close friends considered him a perfectionist.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at Toulon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral services, and burial of ashes will be in West Jersey Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OSF St. Francis Hospice.
