Mrs. Ballard taught 5th grade when I was in Mr. McDonald's class at Glendale Grade school (88/89). We had such wonderful times when she would read to us when the classes were joined together. Mrs. Ballard made every story come alive with her personality. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Ballard was my 3rd grade teacher in 65/66 and my 4th grade teacher 66/67 at Washington Grade School in East Peoria. Over the years, I have thought of her often as she was most definitely one of my favorite teachers. I’m sorry to hear of her passing and would like to express my condolences to her family. I know I’m not alone in recognizing the positive influence she made on so many children.

Mr. Ballard, I am so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I was one of her first students at Washington Grade School when she was still Miss Doran. She was a wonderful teacher and a great person. She will be sadly missed but also fondly remembered by many. May God be with you at this sorrowful time.
