PEORIA - Dr. Theresa S. Falcon-Cullinan, 64, of Peoria passed away at her family residence on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at 11:55 p.m. surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 7, 1945, in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of Juanita Enriquez Macalalag and Francisco Macalalag. On Aug. 19, 1995, she married Dr. Stephen A. Cullinan. He survives.

*** To the family of Dr. Falcon***
I am so sorry for the loss of this extraordinary woman. Dr Falcon delivered all three of my daughters. I had my last daughter in October of 2018. I moved away shortly after that and didnt learn until today that she had gained her wings. I was sitting here talking to my 14yr old about her being an OBGYN. I was telling her about how Dr. Falcon came in to my delivery room dressed to the nines. High heels, and very stylish suit. She took off her jacket put on her lab coat, congratulated me, made sure my daughter was ok, washed her hands put back on her jacket, and left. She was an awesome woman. Heaven truly gained an angel. I just want you all to know that you will be in my prayers. Thanks for lending her to so many of us.... Forever grateful.

Dear Mary Jo
It hurts so much to lose a parent. To lose their physical presence and to know that their departure somehow makes us in charge of our own generation, and the ones after us.
I know the extraordinary spirit of your mother lives in you:
in your irrepressible warmth and generosity. I also know
how you have been connecting with her with absolute
devotion and love in the last part of her journey. Somehow
that closeness will remain with you.
Big hug. Loving prayers, Josie

Dear Mary Jo
My sincere condolences. I understand the pain of your loss as I also lost my mother two years back. I could not go home to Cebu for the funeral because of visa issues. However painful, it is good that you are able to grieve "up close". You are in my prayers, Mary Jo. Take care. Padma

My heart just fell when I heard of her passing. She leaves such a legacy and I am honored to consider myself a walking legacy of hers. Dr. Falcon-Cullinan began my quest to cancer survival. From one ultrasound she knew I had a very rare form of cancer and performed immediate surgery. She then turned me over to her wonderful husband, Dr. Stephen Cullinan. I have been praying for you both and will be eternally grateful that I was blessed to have you in my life. What a beautiful, talented, intelligent woman we have lost. I can still see her walking into my hospital room after surgery wearing a red suit and my telling her she was so beautiful. She simply said "Now stop that and tell me how you are feeling." Dr. Cullinan, may God bring you & your family swift comfort and peace. I know where Dr. Falcon-Cullinan is now and please rejoice in the fact that you will one day be reunited. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

She was a wonderful OB/GYN. She was always caring and wonderful to me. She also had a great sense of humor. I recall that when I had to have surgery she gave me her cell phone number and told me to call it if I had any questions or was scared of the surgery the next day. I feel very grateful to have gotten to know her and I will never forget her kindness. My deepest sympathy for her family.

I am very sorry for your loss. Dr. Theresa Falcom was one of the most amazing women I have ever met. Dr. Falcon touched my life 14 years ago as she did so many lives, when she delivered my son. I still remember that night like it was yesterday. My son was delivered around 9:45 p.m. Dr. Falcon was at a social gathering that evening and was called to the hospital for my delivery. When the elevator doors opened and I saw Dr. Falcon emerge, she was absolutely beautiful. In a matter of minutes that little, beautifully dressed woman started asking questions, giving orders and getting to work. A short time later, my son was delivered. Only a few years ago, my daughter visited Dr. Falcon for the first time. During her visit, Dr. Falcon took the time to talk with her about the college she had chosen and how she dreamed of becoming a doctor too. My son is now a health high school freshman and my daughter is now a Biology/Pre-Med student at IWU. Thank you Dr. Falcon! Heaven is a better place today because you are there.
