Bernardine Ceraul Obituary
Born in Wind Gap, April 21, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Ellen Jane (Fritz) Tomsic Sr.
She was employed as a machine operator for VF Image Wear Royal, Bangor, formerly Majestic.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Pen Argyl, and a member of UNITE.
She was the wife of the late Frank M. Ceraul, who died Aug. 4, 2006.
She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and loved ones.
She is survived by two sons, Frank R. of Pen Argyl and David James and his wife, Judy, of Easton; three daughters, Christine L. Leighton and her husband, Troy, of Pen Argyl, Lisa M. Valentino and her husband, Joseph, of West Nyack, and Connie C. Martinez of Newtown Square; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Breanna, Gabriella, Gianna, Cristina, David and Heidi; four brothers, Anthony Tomsic and his wife, Janet, James Tomsic and his wife, Shirley, and Bruce Tomsic, all of Wind Gap, and Charles Tomsic and his wife, Mary Beth, of Saylorsburg; two sisters, Geraldine Miller and her husband, Ralph, of Pen Argyl, and Aleta Wentzell and her husband, Lester, of Wind Gap; three sisters-in-law, Lucy Lugg, Marie Coscia and Madeline Ceraul, all of Pen Argyl; two godsons, Dean A. Ceraul and Wilbert Knitter Jr.; her stepmother, Edith Hendershot Tomsic Kolb of Wind Gap; and her dog Dre.
A granddaughter, Avery; two sisters, Katherine Knitter and Eleanor Kolb; and two brothers, Frank A. Tomsic Jr. and Ronald Williamson, all died earlier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Grace United Methodist Church, 404 E. Mountain Ave., Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the church. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Relay for Life, Forks UCC Youth Group, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

I was so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing.Maddie kept me informed of what Bernie was going through and I know this was a real sad time for all of you. She was lucky to have such a supportive family.
The memories that you can all share will keep her in your heart and and mind and no one can take memories away from you.

Connie, Christine, Lisa, Frank and Family,
We are so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother. She was such a caring lady who loved her family. My last rememberence of her was when your father and my brother Joe were in the hospital at the same time. We would see each other often. I will always remember how kind she was to me during her own difficult time.
May your memories of her be ever so close to your heart.
I pray for Our Lord to give you His comfort and strength now and in the days ahead.

Bernie was a dear, sweet, hard working person and will be missed by all. We will always remember Bernie by her respect, thoughtfullness and compassion for others.
