ANNA GILLEY

WHEELERSBURG — Anna Gilley, 64, of Wheelersburg, went to be with The Lord on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015. She died peacefully at SOMC Hospice with her family by her side. She was born May 13, 1950, in Gallipolis to Evelyn Andrews Evans of Oak Hill and the late Wendell T. Evans. Ann was a Senior Claims Processor at SOMC, a former board member of Sun and Funland Pool, a former school board member of New Boston Schools, and attended First Church of God in South Shore, Ky for over 25 years. She enjoyed going out to lunch with her daughters, walking with her family and co-workers, Ohio State football, and going on vacations, especially to Disney World. But more than anything, Ann loved her family, especially her three grandchildren, who were a great joy in her life.

In addition to her mother, Ann is also survived by her husband of 40 years, Greg Gilley, two daughters, Kristie Schomburg (Garrick) and Kellie Madden (Jared) all of Wheelersburg, three grandchildren; Brady and Jaxon Schomburg and Kendall Madden, three sisters; Jane Dunn, Sharon Walls, and Rita Allen (Fred) all of Oak Hill, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Melcher Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Danny Mercer and Brett Unger officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at Melcher's on Monday from 5-8 p.m. and again one hour before the service on Tuesday.

The family's favorite charities are the Cancer Compassion Fund at SOMC and SOMC Hospice.
