Age 72, was born February 23, 1938 in Gary, Indiana. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 10, 2010. He attended Gary Roosevelt High School and served his country in the United States Army. He retired from USX Steel after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by father, Edell Coffee; and brother, Michael Love. He leaves to cherish his memories, loving mother, Irene Coffee, Gary, IN; 6 brothers, Larry, Jerry and Dana Coffee, Gary, Indiana, Rodney (Verneita) Coffee, Indianapolis, Indiana, Walter Love, Lawrence, KS, Darryl (Kimberly) Coffee, Hanover Maryland; 3 sisters, Rochelle B. Johnson, Gary, Indiana, Patricia Gentry, San Antonio, TX, Diane Coffee, Indianapolis, IN; 11 nieces; 2 nephews; 3 cousins, Brenda, Nina and Johnetta; special friends, Lawrence, Lee, Pam and Karen Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a Family Hour from 7-9 PM at Smith Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Smith Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home Chapel with internment at Oak Hill Cemetery. www.smithbizzellwarnerfuneralhome.com.
