I met John only once about 7 or so years ago when he delivered a very special cross-country cargo to Balboa Island via a medium-sized U-Haul. It was his youngest son Ross who was to become my new tenant on the island, and became one of the best friends I have and will be for life. Only spending a few days with John, I really admired the relationship he and Ross displayed...a real admiration for each other and love. John will be missed and I know his legacy will be carried on by his loving family.
