Jean Williamson Obituary

Jean A. Williamson

Appleton - On January 12, 2021, Jeannie Ann (Kielgas) Williamson, devoted wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 71.

Jeannie was born on October 4, 1949 in Appleton, WI to Alex and Sylvia (Burmeister) Kielgas. She was the youngest of twelve, having four older sisters and seven brothers.

In April of 1971, she married the love of her life, David Wendell Williamson. They were coming up on celebrating fifty years of marriage this April. Together they raised two sons, Jerric Williamson and Waylon Williamson, and one daughter, Julie (Williamson) Zarnoth. She was a grandmother to three grandsons, Michael Mueller, Brandon Zarnoth fiancé' (Portia Shirani) and Tyler Zarnoth, and one granddaughter, Riley. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Carter, Maggie, Leroy, Hendrix and Aubree.

Jeannie held a strong desire for living in the country. The desire led to her loving husband building their dream home in 1988, which sat on three acres of beautiful land. Her home was her life. Jeannie loved to garden, and she combined that with her favorite hobby of home decor. Her home was always a site to see on any holiday and season. In the spring and summer it was all about her birds. Easter would be a plethora of cute bunny items all through the house. In the fall it was all about the autumn look and feel. And of course there was never a shortage of Halloween decor. When the winter season came the house was alive with snowmen and a magical winter wonderland feel. She sure did love her snowmen. Frosty the snowman would have felt right at home. She just had such a passion for decorating and passed that trait on to her children.

Jeannie's house was always extremely clean and tidy, her obsession for cleanliness and decor made her home worthy of a magazine cover. From when Julie and Jerric were young children, they were armed with a can of Pledge, rag and a vacuum cleaner. And from youth onwards she would say "keep your rooms clean and the house clean". Needless to say, their bedrooms were always clean and in perfect order. That passion will forever remain with Jerric and Julie.

Jeannie loved her dogs; they were a huge part of her life and brought her so much joy. She will be deeply missed by her dogs, Whiskey and Shillo. After the death of her mother, Sylvia, in 1987, Jerric brought home her first sheltie, Cody. Cody was this amazing sheltie that became a huge part of the family. She was loved by all.

Jeannie also had an intense love for country music. Her youngest son, Waylon, is named after the late and great Waylon Jennings. She loved the older traditional country music and it could always be heard playing in her beloved home.

She also loved the Brewers and her favorite was "Stormin'" Gorman Thomas. In the past, Jeannie also enjoyed her nights out bowling on various leagues with her mother and shooting a good game of darts.

She had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and camping. Just being in the woods was a thrill for her. She loved the road trips that she and David took to such places as Nashville and across the country to California. Every stop on the way was special to her.

She will be so missed here on earth, but can now walk (and camp) in the heavenly outdoors and join her family member's that are already there.

You were my neighbor for many years. You gave my daughter & I a hot meal and a warm place to sleep during the building of our home. You were an excellent cook and anyone would be hard pressed to match the cleanliness of your home. Decorating was your forte!! We shared many Christmas present exchanges over the years. Rest in peace..I know you are with your beloved mother and favorite brothers. Your friend, Suzi
