Joan Carol Reinke
Joan Carol Reinke, age 81 of Bonduel, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Green Bay. Joan was born on September 1, 1933 in New London, the daughter of the late Donald and Loretta (Bricco) Devine. After graduating from Bear Creek High School in 1951 Joan began working in the office of Four Wheel Drive in Clintonville until October 23, 1954, when she was united in marriage to Donald L. Reinke at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek. Don and Joan were inseparable from the day they met and recently celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage. Family was always Joan's first love but her second love would be her career as an administrative assistant and teacher's aide at the Navarino Elementary School, where she worked for 32 years. She enjoyed all the people she worked with and all of the children who attended school there. Joan and her husband enjoyed touring the United States, visiting many of the national parks and other places of interest. They visited nearly every state in the union as well as much of Canada. They especially enjoyed annual vacations on Northern Wisconsin lakes and streams where she and Don fished. Joan was an avid reader and visited the Bonduel Public Library on a regular basis. Joan was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Joan is survived by her husband, Donald Reinke, their 4 children, Donald "D.J." (Lana) Reinke of Hobart, Katherine "Kathy" (Bill) Wirth of Ripon, David (Jami) Reinke of Bonduel, Kristine "Kris" (Dan) Maryniak of Gresham, 12 grandchildren, Derek (Stephanie) Reinke, Drew (Fiance Jessica) Reinke, Dan (Kally) Reinke, Nathan (Laura) Wirth, Matthew Wirth, Lucas Wirth, David (Sara) Wirth, Jeremy Reinke, Jennifer (Craig) Hartlaben, Jake (Fiance Mindy) Reinke, Alan Maryniak and James Maryniak, 11 great-grandchildren, Evan, Gwen, Brielle, Leah, Kolby, Easton, Ava, Beckett, Brooks, Boston and Coleston. She is further survived by her sister, Pat Murphy of Eau Claire, a sister-in-law, Joan Reinke of Clintonville, a step-sister, Nancy Hogan of Clintonville as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Kristine K. Reinke and 1 sister Betty Luebke.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil with Rev. Luke Ferris officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the mass.
