Lucile Timmel Obituary
Lucile A. Timmel, age 89, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was born on September 27, 1924 in Oshkosh, to the late William and Alvina Laabs. Lucile married Melvin Timmel in Omro on August 16, 1947, and the two spent over 65 years together. Lucile worked at Omro Power and Electric and AAL from 1942 to 1951 when she dedicated herself to being a loving mother to her three children. After retirement, Lucile and Melvin enjoyed spending time with their family at the cottage on Cloverleaf Lakes and spending winters together in Florida. She was a loyal member at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and an active member with DORCAS and LWMS for many years. Lucile also enjoyed spending time volunteering at the Bargain Garden Thrift Shop. She always cherished the time she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lucile is survived by her three children: Douglas (Kathy) Timmel of Allentown, Pennsylvania; Donna (Jim) Wieseler of Hortonville, their children Jason and Mandie "AJ" and her son Austin; Dennis (Peggy) Timmel of Hortonville, his children Heather (Fiancé Eric) and his son Alec, Chelsea (Ross) Bongert and their daughters, Ashlynn and Sophia; her sisters-in-law: Betty Laabs of Sarasota, Florida; Antoinette Timmel of Appleton; Shirley Schwebs of Kissimmee, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Melvin Timmel; brother: Harold Laabs; brothers-in-law: Ruben Timmel and Alfred Timmel Jr.
The funeral service for Lucile will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 20, 2014, at ST. MATTHEW EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH (129 S. Mason St., Appleton) with Rev. Paul T. Schuler officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

To my Cousins, Dennis, Douglas and Donna. I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful person and a kind lady. I always enjoyed our talks when she would call me.
