Scott Arthur Swamer, died peacefully at St Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, WI on January 10, 2015, at the age of 67 with family and friends at his side.

Scott is survived by his wife, Galina Sabelnikova, Russia; son, Shane Swamer (Heather), and grandson, Zachary Swamer, San Diego, CA; sisters Susan Swamer (John Bedore), Almond, WI; Kari Van Rooy (Pat), Appleton, WI; nieces, Stacie Bernard and Allison Van Rooy. Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred (Lemke) and Bernard Swamer, Appleton, WI.

Scott was born on August 16, 1947. He graduated from Appleton High and began working for Kimberly Clark before moving on to other endeavors.

Scott was an avid traveler, traversing the majority of the United States as well as traveling abroad. He especially enjoyed China and Russia, and met his wife, Galina, in Russia.

He had a deep love of antiquities and was a well respected expert on historical firearms and sights.

His interest in fine cuisine gave birth to the Harvest Moon Supper Club in Menasha , WI.

Scott was passionate about the Wild West and spent much time in its surrounds. Especially Las Vegas!

In past years Scott has spent much time in the Wabeno , WI area, it is only fitting that a memorial service will happen by the woods that he had enjoyed so much in his youth.

A memorial is scheduled for January 20th, Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the ESSENHAUS, 4493 North Branch St.(Hwy 32), Wabeno. Ray Appel will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Scott's life.
