Joyce Alexander Obituary

Joyce McPhie Alexander, 81, of Rigby, passed away at her son's home in Wapello, Idaho, on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015.

Joyce was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Springville, Utah, a daughter to John Martin McPhie and Nettie Webb. Joyce graduated from Carbon High School in Price, Utah.

Joyce married Franklin Lyman Baguley. They were later divorced.

On Sept. 16, 1966, she married Howard Alexander, and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 16, 1975.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and Young Women's, among other callings. In 1999, Howard and Joyce served in the New Mexico Crown Point Mission.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Alexander of Wapello, and her children, Scott (Gayla) Baguley, Sr., of Rigby, and Lance Baguley of Wapello. Joyce loved her seven grandchildren and in-law grandchildren: Scott (Laura) Baguley, Kasha (Jonah) Burgie, Lacey (Joe) Nalder, Joshua (SunDee) Baguley, Erica, Brock and Kelsey Baguley, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Per Joyce's wishes, there will be no funeral services. There will be a celebration of life held by the family.
