Sarah Cline Obituary

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Sarah Shorr Cline passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, in Gainesville, Fla., after a long illness.

She was born July 6, 1913, in Woonsocket, R.I. Sarah was the daughter of the late Isaac and Rachel Shorr.

She moved to Glens Falls after marrying her husband, the late Attorney Leo E. Cline.

Sarah was very active in the community in Glens Falls. She served as a volunteer at the Glens Falls Hospital and was treasurer of Temple Beth-El and president of the Temple Sisterhood.

She was very active in planning community Seders in Glens Falls. Sarah was a vibrant person who easily drew people to her. She was ebullient in all she did and brought laughter wherever she went.

Sarah is survived by her three children, Roanne Coplin of Gainesville, Fla., Ina Fritsch of Viera, Fla., and Max Cline of Albany, Calif.; two sons-in-law, Lawrence Coplin and Robert Fritsch; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Beck Cline; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Joseph Shorr of Woonsocket, R.I., and Sanford Shorr, of Meriden, Conn., three sisters-in-law, Frances and Flora Shorr and Ethel Cline; and many nieces and nephews. Her family was with her when she passed away.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 11, at Temple Beth-El Cemetery in South Glens Falls, with Rabbi Richard Sobel officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury.
