Barbara Rokoskie Obituary
Barbara Jean (Shrum) Rokoskie, 57, of Pottstown, wife of Gary Rokoskie, passed away Friday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Barbara (Brokenman) Shrum.
Barbara was an active member of the Coventry Cure Company Relay for Life team. She was a proud and dedicated employee of Force America, Inc. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed going shopping, as well as traveling to Disney World and Ocean City, NJ.
Surviving along with her husband is son Kyle J. Rokoskie of Columbus, OH; stepfather Elvin Hershey, of Pottstown; mother-in-law Jean Bowman, wife of Lee, of Pottstown; brothers George W. Shrum, of Delaware, Donald L. Shrum, husband of Mary, of Pottstown, Gary Shrum, husband of Lori, of Pottstown, and James Shrum, husband of Theresa, of Pottstown. She is also survived by godsons Donald and Aston Shrum, as well as many family and friends.
A memorial service will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Donations in Barbara's memory may be dropped off at National Penn Bank, 11 Ridge Rd., Bucktown, PA 15611 or mailed to Coventry Cure Company, Attn: Nancy Fitch, 89 Freigh Ln., Pottstown, PA 19465.

Barb will be missed but I have such fond memories of talking Mickey with someone that was a bigger fan than me. We also had many a laughs trying to figure out our computer system at Force America. Her spirit & friendship will be with me forever.

Ahhhhhh memories! Where should the Conrad family start? Of course when I remember you Barb I think none other than the absolute AWESOME times spent in Disney! You're sheer joy and kid-like excitement of everything surrounding you was so contagious! You made the family experience in Disney for us unbelievably unforgettable and simply magnificent!! I don't think that wonderful smile of yours left your face for one split second, not only in Disney but every SINGLE time I was with you! You embraced every single one of my friends you have met and all of them walked away telling me "wow! She is so sweet and you just wanna hug her!" I couldn't agree more! We will all miss you immensely! You are one of a kind and I don't think I'll ever come across anyone like you EVER! Much love to Gary and Kyle in this time of missing you like we all will and that we will all be together one day! This is what calms my heart and I know you want everyone to celebrate your life and keep smiling every day! LOVE YOU GIRLFRIEND!!
