Dante Binotto Obituary

Dante Binotto, Sr.

Locust Grove, VA - Dante Binotto Sr., 87, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his home in Locust Grove, VA. Mr. Binotto was a native of Dover Plains, NY. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He loved his chosen occupation as a brick and stone mason contractor. He and his wife Gerda retired to Virginia in 1994. They were married for 59 years, until her death in November of 2015. Mr. Binotto was a member the American Legion Post #156 in Orange County and the Korean War Veterans Association.

Mr. Binotto is survived by his two daughters, Ella Binotto and husband John Appleby of Fredericksburg and Norma Comerford and husband Kenneth of Milltown, NJ; son, Dante Binotto Jr. and wife Caroll of Cobleskill, NY; five grandchildren, Kimberly Stone, Garrett Stone, Colleen Cregg, Erin Comerford, and Dante Binotto III; five great-grandchildren, Isaac, Nathan, and Gabriel Leal and Olivia and Sebastian Stone.

A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lake of the Woods Lions Club, P.O. Box 605 Locust Grove, VA 22508.
