Sandra J. Manor

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - Sandra J. Manor, 55, a long-time resident of Windgale and originally of Plattsburgh, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born on August 8, 1956 in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Jean S. (Covey) Manor. Sandra graduated from Dover High School in 1974 and attended Rochester College. She worked as a nurse's aide at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale before retiring.

She is survived by her brother, Kevin Manor of California; sisters, Shari Thiers of Pawling and Tina Gill of Norwalk, CT; and niece, Chelsea Thiers of Pawling.

Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St., Pawling on Sunday, October 9th from 6-8pm. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, October 10th at 10am. Burial will follow in South Dover Rural Cemetery, Wingdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, New York, NY Office, 333 Seventh Avenue, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10001 or the American Heart Association, Dutchess Region, KANDR Building, 22 IBM Road - Suite 108, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

i am so sorry to hear about your loss. Sandy was a great person. She was fun to watch, when Tina and i got together, Sandy lways watched us in the back ground, wondering what we were doing. I will miss her, and hope that your pain is short, but your memories, and love last forever.
