Anthony "Tony" Cannavino
of BinghamtonAnthony Cannavino died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Christine (Ciotoli) Cannavino at home surrounded by those who loved him after a courageous battle with cancer. Anthony was predeceased by his father, Angelo Cannavino, and found peace in the hope that they would be reunited in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Christine; his mother, Mary (Nasoni) Cannavino; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Annmarie Cannavino; brother, Joseph Cannavino; his nephews, Tom, Peter and Joseph Cannavino, Derek Jones and Troy Haven; nieces, Marie and Tina Cannavino, Olivia Haven and Alexandria Waroway; mother-in-law, MaryAnn Ciotoli; father-in-law, Cesare Ciotoli; brother-in-law, Tom Ciotoli and his wife, Chris; sisters-in-law, Camille Caprari and her husband, Tom, Celeste Ciotoli and Mike Kennedy. He is also survived by his favorite cousins, Charlene Jones; special friend, Anne Bennett; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Anthony served in the U.S.M.C. as a military police officer and was a retired employee of the Village of Endicott Water Department with over 20 years of service. Anthony considered his coworkers to be his closest friends, especially Dan Felo, Frank Amorese and Noreen Bost. Anthony also leaves behind his "babies" whom he loved dearly and who brought him great joy in his life, Max, Rusty, Isabella, Mitzy and Pinky. Anthony's family would like to thank his physicians, Dr. Jonathan Kloss and Dr. Mark Epstein and the entire staff at Lourdes Oncology for the loving and compassionate care they gave to Anthony during his illness. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m., from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott, and at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anthony of Padua Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Tony may be made to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13903.
