Lavern (Ganisin) Kelley, 84, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007, at Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Maddie and Walter Hendrix; sisters, Alice and Vera; husbands, Basil Ganisin and Wilford Kelley. She is survived by her son, William Ganisin and Lyndsay Kalka, Johnson City; daughter, Lois and Thomas Crimmins, Endwell; daughter, Linda and John Crimmins, Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Kim and George Herbert, Jim and Lisa Young, Jeff and Michele Crimmins, Melissa and Lee Ryan, Jennifer and Billy Spalik, David and Holly Ganisin, Steve and Connie Crimmins, Julie Crimmins, and Matt and Amy Crimmins; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Allison, Luke, Stephanie, Hanna, Gavin, Julia, Ashlyn, Jordan, Riley, Braedan, Tom, Sara, and Sam. Lavern was a retired employee of Binghamton Psychiatric Center. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. We would like to thank the staff of Seton 1 and Lourdes Hospice and a special thank you to Magnolia Lane at Vestal Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, with Rev. David C. Seaver, Chaplain of Spiritual Care at Lourdes Hospital, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Forest Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9.
