Nora Mack Abdallah
of Binghamton
Nora Mack Abdallah, 87, of Binghamton, died Sunday at her home after an extended illness. A native of The Netherlands, she emigrated to the United States in 1935 and lived in Schenectady, N.Y. until 1960, when she moved to Binghamton. She is survived by son, David J. Mack, Rochester; grandson, William H. Mack, Esq. and his wife, Debra Green Mack, M.D., New York City; sister, Elisabeth Lingeman, Schenectady; stepdaughters, Marlene Lausen, Binghamton, and Linde (Ed) Luberda, Scotia; brother-in-law, Edmund Mack, Richmondville; sister-in-law, Doris Mack, Scotia; sister-in-law, Ann Kuretich, Chicago; brother-in-law, Fred (Phyllis) Abdallah, Hillcrest; brother-in-law, Charles Abdallah, Binghamton; sister-in-law, Thelma (George) Weslar, Binghamton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S. and The Netherlands. She was predeceased by husbands, John Mack and Thomas N. Abdallah; mother, Elizabeth Lingeman, Schenectady; and brother, Robert Lingeman, Elizabeth, N.J. Nora was a retiree of the Four County Library System, an avid ballroom dancer and an amateur artist and designer. She loved books and reading. She was a past president of the Schenectady, N.Y. Parent-Teacher Association.
Memorial service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, Inc., 71 Main St., Binghamton. The Rev. John Martinichio will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-6 at the funeral home.
