Alice Marie BURMESTER

Passed away on February 15, 2013 at the age of 99 years. She was born September 24, 1913 in Penngrove to Fred and Mary Riebli. Dearly beloved wife of the late Ernest Burmester. Loving mother of Sharon (John) Dado and Rick Burmester. Dear sister of the late Carl Riebli and Art Riebli. Adored grandmother of John (Elizabeth) Dado and Craig (Linda) Dado and great-grandchildren; Teke, Remi, Gage, Isabel, Charlie, and Sonya. Dear aunt of Ron (Carol) Riebli, Nancy (Ross) Lande, Pauly (Rich) Uhr, Tom (Jody) Riebli, Jill (John) Harmon, and Susan (Bill) Schneider. As a young girl, Alice worked at Dooley Ice's Ice Cream Parlor and for Pete Fundas. For many years she worked for Dr. George Lane, Sr. and also for Dr. Wayne Musser. Later she worked side by side with her husband, Ernie, on their chicken ranch. Alice was well known for her delicious cakes, excellent pies, and flat tire cookies. She played bridge up until a few weeks before her death. We want to thank Salanieta Matairavula for eight years of loving care. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma.
