CORNELIUS JOHANNAS VAN DER HOUT Cornelius Johannas Van der Hout, known to friends as "Cor," passed away on March 20, 2016, at the age of 92 years. A native of the Netherlands, he immigrated to the United States in 1956. He lived in Buffalo, NY, and various locations in Southern California before settling in Murrieta. An avid piano player, Cor passionately shared his 75 years of musical talent with family, friends, organization and his church. As a man of many talents, he owned an import-export business, taught ballroom dancing, had his own band, was a photographer and sold real estate. He was also known for his craftsmanship creating his own guitars, furniture and building his own home in Temecula. Cor will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Bep and his children, Tom, Keith, Perry, and Annette; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service in memory of Cor will be held on Tuesday, March 29, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Martha Catholic Church, 37200 Whitewood Rd., Murrieta, CA 92563. A Reception will follow the service. Those who so desire may make donations in memory of Cor to the American Heart Assoc. or American Cancer Society.
