AMANDA COGAN Obituary

COGAN, AMANDA (nee REITZLER) 80 - passed away on December 29. Raised in Pleasantville, she was a resident of Northfield for 55 years. As a homemaker, she enjoyed making peach and grape jelly. At the age of 46, she realized she had a talent for beautifully decorating cakes. She was a talented seamstress. She especially enjoyed embroidery and crocheting baby sweaters, blankets and Afghans. She was predeceased by her parents Amanda Reitzler-Ireland and Edward Reitzler. She is also predeceased by her husband of 58 years, James D. Cogan. She is survived by her children Linda Dunn (Tom) of Egg Harbor Township, John Cogan (MaryJo) of Egg Harbor Township and James Cogan (Gayle) of Linwood. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Brian Dunn, Matthew Dunn, Daniel Dunn (Emily), Jonathan Cogan, Zacharey Cogan, Scott Cogan and Cindy Cogan. She also was a great grandmother to Gavin Dunn. By her request services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on line to the Salvation Army or the Atlantic County Women's Shelter, 1201 New Road, Suite 420, Linwood, NJ 08221. Linda, John & Jim - So sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I remember her many visits on the front porch with my Mom and of course her coupon sharing. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.
