Bernice Gough Obituary
87, of West Warwick, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leon J. Gough, they had been married for 63 years at the time of his passing. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Magiera) Podgurski.
Mrs. Gough was a very active communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Colleen L. Freitas and her husband John, Bernice K. Hand and her husband Paul and Bryant A. Gough and his wife Karen; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Augustowski, Olympia Hattoy, Helen Chagnon and a brother, Vincent Podgurski. She was the sister of the late Mary Lesniak, Veronica Benoit, Frank J. and James A. Podgurski.
Her funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at 9:00 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Sunday 4:00-7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry, RI 02816 or Special Olympics RI, 370 George Washington Hwy, Smithfield, RI 02917 in her memory would be appreciated.
