Pop, Dad, Daddy, Papa
Corrado Oreste Edward Corse, Jr.

Our dad was a father, grandfather, husband and friend who always seemed to understand the true meaning of life. Dad lived his life very passionately with gusto and without few regrets. He traveled the world, gave of his time by volunteering, worked in his yard, tended to his family and his four-legged friend.

There are many things we will remember about our father but I think the largest legacy he leaves behind are his stories that always were followed by idioms. For anyone who knew our dad they knew that he had a story for every situation of life. Our dad was a teacher and life was his classroom. The stories he told and the idioms he shared always had some lesson attached to them that he hoped you would figure out. Some of our dad’s most memorable sayings were, “like is more important than love,” “you play with the bull, you get the horns,” “do as I say and not as I do,” the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but be sure you have something to squeak about.”

Of the plethora of saying, one of his favorites was, “this too shall pass.” He often used this idiom in reference to some hardship that you might have been dealing with or if something didn’t go the way we wanted. One of the last things my dad said to me was, “this too shall pass.” And dad, indeed it did, but it wasn’t supposed to have been you.

Dad we love you all the numbers on the clock.
Dad we love you so much it hurts
Dad we love you all the numbers in the world times all the numbers in the world
Dad we love you a hundred, a hundred, a hundred.

Dad, you have passed but we will keep you alive through your stories.

We love you Pop!!
