ROSA, FLORENCE G. "LALA"
87, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of William Rosa, Sr. Born in Providence, Florence was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Bertha (Buonaiuto) Santoro. She worked as a claims processor for many years, until her retirement.
Besides her husband, Florence is survived by her children William Rosa, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Sharon, MA and Susan Pirolli and her husband Michael of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of Katie Frederick and her husband Jeffrey, Michael Pirolli and his wife Lauren, Nicholas Pirolli and his wife Krystal, and Peter Pirolli. Florence was the great grandmother of Sophia and Jackson Frederick, and Lucas Pirolli. She was the sister of Betty Fusco of Cranston, General Richard Santoro, Ret. and his wife Kathleen of Narragansett, and the late Theresa Foote, Joseph, Albert and Angelo Santoro.
Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
