Jonathan Schutz Obituary
Born in Torrance, CA, he was the son of Mark A. (and Ami) Schutz of Murrieta, CA and Fina E. (and Bryan) Denney of Inglewood, CA.
Jonathan, a resident of RI since 2003, was a machinist at KMC Inc. of West Greenwich. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Lake Mishnock Fire Department.
Jon was the companion of Shelly Hager the mother to his beloved daughters Emmily Rose and Kaydence Star Schutz. Brother of Kandyce Wing, Justin and Krystin Denny, and Bayli Schutz. Grandson of Janet Donaher and Fina and Joseph Finch.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 4-7 PM , followed by a Service at 7 PM in the R.A. IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), Coventry. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California. www.iannottifh.com

My condolenses to Shelly and the family. Jonny was a very special young man and a good friend to many people. He was always willing to step up to help someone and if the task involved any automotive part, he was in his glory. He would listen to that funny little noise your car was making or check out why a light didn't work and he always came up with answers that you could rely on. He was a wonderful young man and he will be in our hearts and prayers.

We still cannot believe that you are gone. When things like this happen, it makes you question a lot; however, God had other plans for you. We have so many memories of you and we will never forget you. You were such a genuine person, with an amazing heart of gold. If anyone ever needed anything, you would be there in a heartbeat, no questions asked. These are qualities that are hard to find; you were truly one of a kind.
We will remember you through the years we spent hanging out with you and Shelly, and even during Emmily's first year. It is through all of those memories, that your life will be celebrated and remembered.
Our hearts go out to all of your family and loved ones during this very difficult time. You will always be in our hearts.

I still can’t believe that you are gone. Why these things happen, only God knows. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones. I hope your memories will give all of us comfort. I remember working with you at Downey and there was not one person there who disliked you. Although it has been a while since I last saw you, I always wished you the best and was glad to hear from you time to time. I will never forget your mischievous smile and genuine character. I am so very sorry about your loss. Being a mother and grandmother myself, I can only imagine that the pain, the loss, and the loneliness must be devastating. I am at a loss for words. My heart goes out to you. I pray for you every morning. Please know that I hold you close in my heart. In my belief, Jonathan is home with Dad, in a better place. Our time here is limited. LORD, you called Jonathan home and many here are saddened by his departure. I pray that in your mercy you would comfort them now - especially his daughters, their mother, Enuncera, Fina, his brother and sister, aunts, and remaining family and friends. At this time of grief, we call on your promises: "I will not forget you...I have carved you on the palm of my hand." To all of Jonathan's family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayer's during this very tough time. Although I hadn't seen Jon in quite a while, the time I spent working with him while he was with Downey Savings will always stay in my memory. Jonathan was like a proverbial younger brother. You wanted to throttle him at times, but just couldn't help liking hell out of him. He just seemed to get under your skin and stay there. He always used to call me "sis", telling me that I reminded him of an older sister. I just really enjoyed being around him. He was a genuine person to the core...always himself, always getting into some kind of mischief, and always loving every minute of it. I, for one, will miss him terribly.
Rest in peace my friend. You will always be remembered....how could we not...you were a one of a kind.

My prayers to Jonathan Family, especially the daughters, who I know will miss their daddy. Eventhough I never met my 3rd cousin Jonathan, I know that he was special to all. To cousin Nuncie, I am so sorry for your loss, and to Auntie Fina, I know how much you love your grandchildren. I love you both and pray that you will have comfort knowing that he is with Jesus and all of the other family members that have passed.

Nunce, Mark and Family, We are deeply sorry for your loss. I know Jonathan will be missed. Are prayers are with your family and expecially for his girls. Although many years passed between the times we spoke or saw each other, I have always cherished our memories. Thanksgivings were the best! It saddens me to know that things prevented us from being closer, but you stayed strong and let a good life with your girlfriend and your two children. You have and always will be in my thoughts. I can not imagine what a parent feels or goes through when losing a child. It has always been said that it is a parent's worst fear. My prayers go out to the both you and his love ones in your time of loss. I believe that God danced the day Jonathan was born and celebrates even more when he came home. The greatest legacy he has left behind is the lives of so many that he has touched and the memories that everyone will alway have. If he was even a fraction of the man you have come to be, then you had a good son and it would have been a pleasure in knowing him. He now holds a greater purpose both in the presence of God and in our lives, if we only allow him to do so. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you, you were always a good friend!

Jon, you are a great person. I am glad I had the honor of knowing you and you were alot of fun to hang with for those three weeks this past winter when you needed me, I know you are in great hands now with nothing to ever make you feel sad or alone, my heart goes out to your little ones, parents, relatives,and shelly. May you rest in peace, great nephew. Your family, great aunts & uncles, cousins from California will miss you. Eventhough we had not seen you in some time, you were always there in our hearts.
