Braxton Thurman Davis LUBBOCK - Braxton Thurman Davis passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014. We will gather to celebrate his life of 33 years at 4 p.m. today, April 30, 2014, at First Christian Church. Braxton Thurman was born on November 10, 1980, to Guy and Lisa Davis in Lubbock, Texas. On July 8, 2013, Braxton married the love of his life, Lindsey Kay Pierce Davis, in Lubbock, Texas, and together they created the most beautiful child in Christ, Olivia. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1998. Braxton's love of life was his wife, Lindsey and daughter, Olivia. He was a devoted husband, brother and son that loved his family beyond all comprehension. Braxton also loved being in the mountains, especially Camp Davis, his dogs, skiing, hunting, wood working, and anything involved in being Happy, Happy, Happy. He was always very loyal and giving of all he had to his friends and family. Because of his immense love of life, a multitude of memories will live on as we honor him. Survivors include his wife, Lindsey Kay Pierce Davis; daughter, Olivia Grayson Davis; Jackson, a Brittany Spaniel; his parents, Guy Thurman and Lisa Davis; brother, Tanner Davis and wife, Erika; sister, Britnee Davis and fianc , Brett Douglas; paternal grandparents, Bill and Irma Davis; maternal grandparents, Robert and JoAnn Knight; uncles and aunts, John and Gay Rittenberry, Mike and Venessa Knight, Jerrel and Nancy Claborn and Gwen Davis; mother-in-law, Shellie Johnson; sister-in-law, Nicole Pierce; niece, Briley; numerous cousins; and other relatives that he loved with all of his heart. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome and the family suggests Braxton Davis Memorial Fund at Plains Capital Bank.
