Michael R. Dean, 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 18, 1959 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Veloris S. Dean, Sr. and Rosetta Cooper Dean. Michael enjoyed bowling, Legos, and Pro Wrestling magazines. He also played in the Angel Hand Bell Choir in Mercersburg.
He is survived by four siblings, Sherry L. Adams of Mercersburg, Veloris S. Dean, Jr., of Chambersburg, Susan E. Pototsky of Pittsburgh, and James E. Dean of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Velora A. Stockslager of Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Norland Cemetery. Rev. Darryl Bear will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ARC Franklin-Fulton Chapter, 4351 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
