Beryl Edwards Obituary
July 5, 1927 - January 20, 2025
Beryl Alice Edwards, 97, of Moline, passed away January 20, 2025, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday February 1, 2025, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday January 31, 2025, Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Private family burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Beryl was born July 5, 1927, in Otteson, Iowa, the daughter of John and Lillie (Hundertmark) Satern. She married Earl C. Edwards on September 27, 1947, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1998. Beryl attended Augustana College and had been employed as the office manager for her husband's business, Edwards Electric in Moline, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over seventy years. She was an active and devoted mother and grandmother. Beryl enjoyed flowers, gardening, needlework and was an avid reader. In her younger years she played half-court basketball and still enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball, Indiana Fever, and the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Whiting, Moline, Susan (Donald) Rimkus, Moline; sons-in-law, Rich Westmoreland, Moline, Matt Puck, Moline; grandchildren, Stephane (Kurt) Vordermeier, Megan (Bill) Fiduccia, Joshua (Annaka) Whiting, James (Jessica) Whiting, Sarah (Aaron) Greenwood, Emily Rimkus, Nathan (Cheyenne) Rimkus; great grandchildren, Blake Whiting, Blake Greenwood, Camryn Whiting, Kenzie Whiting, Owen Greenwood, Cori Whiting; sister-in-law, Helen Livermore, Virginia; special niece and cherished friend, Janne Short, Moline.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Kris Westmoreland, Linda Puck; son, Kenneth Edwards; and her siblings.
A special thank you to her caregivers who have all become family: Anne, Deb, Asia, Staci, Suzanne, Susie, Ty.
