MOLINE-George L. Minear, 67, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at home.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory following services. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in George's memory.
George Leon Minear was born October 17, 1954, in Moline, the son of William and Florence (Rasche) Minear. He married Barbara Davis and the couple had three children prior to separating. He was a truck driver for many years.
He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs' fan.
George is survived by three children, Kathryn Steele of East Moline, Wendy (Cassidy) Lionheart of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Gregory (Mandy Davis) Minear of East Moline; four grandchildren, Dante and Shania Lionheart, Izy Davis, and Maria Gonzalez-Davis; a great-granddaughter, Noami; and his brother, William Minear of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Pamela Minear.

Sorry to hear of George“s passing.
He helped me deliver Pepsi back in
the day. Played some softball together and needless to say had a few beers together too. Hope your at peace my friend and with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
